Paws & Pens: Travel in a City

This week’s edition of Paws & Pens features a poem written by Cole, G7, inspired by Robert Frost .

Travel in a City

Gleaming black tar fills cracks of the road

Luscious green branches waving in the breeze

Hazy blue skies and thick oppressive humidity

Cracked concrete streets with chaotic clusters of cars

Putrid debris lying outside of the shops

Latticed green gates guarding packed houses

Clanging metal pilings behind towering condominiums

Smeared ripe mangoes impaled on metal spikes

People packed in houses, cool and safe
