Wolf Reads #7

Every now and then, we would like to feature an author here on Wolf Reads. This week, we’re bringing you some of our favorites from Neil Gaiman!

Coraline

17061

Goodreads rating: 4.01

A locked door in Coraline’s home has always perplexed her. When she finally opens it, the door leads right into a brick wall. But on her second try, the door opens to an alternate world that’s chillingly similar to Coraline’s own, complete with “other” parents and people with buttons for eyes.

Recommended for those searching for an otherworldly read, or those of us tempted to crawl into a small door in an old house.

The Graveyard Book

2213661

Goodreads rating: 4.10

After the murder of his parents, Nobody “Bod” Owens is raised by ghosts and other supernatural creatures in a graveyard. Graveyards are generally considered dangerous for children, but terror and the want for spilt blood are the threats which Bod would face if he ever left it.

Recommended for those who enjoy unconventional reads.

Stardust

3629286

Goodreads rating: 4.09

No one crosses the wall. But in order to win the heart of the stunningly beautiful Victoria Forester, Tristan Thorn has promised to bring her back a falling star, a journey that brings Tristan through the wall and into an enchanted realm.

Having trouble looking for a fantasy adventure that’s a standalone? Look no further.  Magic, pirates, swashbuckling, it’s all here!
