The New Senior Wolves Start Their Promising Campaign

A six-goal thriller after a goalless scene in the first half of the game saw the new Senior Boys Wolves start their campaign off strongly, after a convincing 4-2 win over BCIS, on a blazing Thursday afternoon at the Wolves Den.

It was a chance for the teams to prepare for the next football season as both sides brought plenty of upcoming seniors to get the taste of a more demanding, physical, and technical style of play. The Wolves squad looks promising for next season, as they will have talented ninth-graders who caused an upset by winning the final tournament, and this was their opportunity to show what they wil bring to the team.

It was an evenly matched game in the first-half as neither side was able find the back of the net. Both sides looked dangerous in their attacks however, as BCIS focused on their swift counter-attacks which were all well denied by the Wolves defense, whilst the Wolves relied more on passing and movements, but they just couldn’t seem to execute the shots as most of the balls soared above the crossbar.

THE NEW STORY: New Senior Boys with their first team huddle

The second half was a completely different action, as goals came rushing in just few minutes after the start, as Mai gave the Wolves the lead from a goalmouth scramble. The lead did not last long though as BCIS leveled the score within seconds. Minutes later the boys responded when Byte slotted the ball calmly into the corner after completely fooling the BCIS defense with a spin move, and later Budi gave the Wolves a two-goal cushion following a finesse shot straight into the bottom right corner.

Despite BCIS’s late consolation goal, it wasn’t enough, as Mai later sealed the game with a sweet half volley to finish the game with the final score 4-2, showing a promising future for the boys next season.

A big thanks to all the players and supporters for your commitment during this year’s TISAC events and we’ll see you all next season!
