The Wolf’s Howl |8M|

Hey-hey! This week’s Wolf’s Howls a little short, but hopefully y’all will enjoy~!

Rudy Mancuso & Maia Mitchell – Magic

Artist(s): Rudy Mancuso & Maia Mitchell

Album: Magic (Single)

Year: 2018

Genre(s): Pop

Thoughts:

With the light guitar and the airy voice, Magic is a great song to listening to when you are coming to school. This song is very relaxing and has a tone that matches well with a hot summer day (basically everyday in Thailand). Though it is not exactly my to-go choice of music, its a good song to listen to calm you down with its soft and quiet melody.

Rating: 3/7

Paramore – Idle Worship

Artist(s): Paramore

Album: After Laughter

Year: 2017

Genre(s): Alternative Indie

Thoughts:

This song, because of the very iconic Hayley William voice, is very reminding of those emo-phase years.  Many of Paramore’s songs have very upbeat and happy melodies, but when listening to the actual lyrics theres always that small hint of sadness. Yet it is a great song to lip-sync along to while whipping your hair back and forth.

Post Malone – I Fall Apart

Artist(s): Post Malone

Album: Stoney

Year: 2016

Genre(s): Contemporary R&B/ Alternative Hip Hop

Thoughts:

I Fall Apart is a relatively emotion song. Compared to songs like Congratulations and rockstar (which are both the JAM, by the way), this song is something sad and very much a “break up” song. The raspy and almost scream-like voice matches well with the heavy drumming and beat. With Post Malone singing instead of his iconic rapping, it really makes the tone of the song sadder than it actually is– well, to me at least.

Rating: 6/7

Weezer – Buddy Holly

Artist(s): Weezer

Album: Weezer

Year: 1994

Genre(s): Alternative/Indie

Thoughts:

If you have never heard of Weezer then Buddy Holly is a great introduction to their song with many heavy guitars and drums. Though it may be an old song it is basically timeless. The iconic “what’s a matter” bridge will make you want to sing along to the entire song. Weezer is a great band to throwback to the 90s alternative/indies.

Rating: 6/7
