Student Council Candidates (2019-20)

Here is the full list of candidates who will be running for Student Council 2019-20. Elections will be taking place this Thursday during advisory.

To those who are running, don’t forget to prepare a two-minute speech explaining why you think you are right for the job. You will have to deliver this speech to the rest of your classmates. Good luck!

And to everyone else, remember that this isn’t a popularity contest. Vote for the candidate whom you think is fit for the role. Remember, the Student Council is supposed to represent you. If you’re interested in how the voting process will work, there’s a brief explanation below the list of candidates.

Voting

The SC elections use a ranked voting system. What does this mean? Well, you will be made to rank all the candidates according to your preference. The candidate whom you most prefer should be ranked as number one and so on. The twelfth graders will then count all the votes and the results will be announced in Friday’s assembly. If you want a more detailed explanation of this voting system, click here. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to email SC at kis-student-council@edu.kis.ac.th.

There will be a G12 student helping out with the elections so please don’t panic. 🙂

Additional Notes

All those who get elected will need to attend meetings every Tuesday from 3:00-4:00 immediately after the April break.

Grade 7 will not have elections as only three students are running. These three students have won by default (so congratulations!).
